| Good news - clutch appears to be fine. Bad news I've got an oil leak. Got under the car and noticed a little bit of oil on the outside of the tranny
case. Upon closer inspection I could see a little residue thru the gap on the
front main seal. However, the oil appears to be coming from up above
outside the tranny. I could see a bit on the rubber coolant hose that leads
to the turbo, however the turbo itself seemed to be clean from what I could
see. Perhaps it's leaking from the valve covers at the back of the engine. My theory regarding the intermittent clutch problem I was experiencing is
that apparently at some point oil made it's way onto the clutch or flywheel
face and that was what caused the strange behavior with the car not
finding the gear occasionally for that roughly 10 day period
until it was "burned" off thru friction. I did make sure my clutch was adjusted properly, and took it for some
spirited test driving and had no issues with slipping, nor have I had any of
the previous issues for about a week. Guess I'll need to address the oil leak in the near future now. :-/
